Kushal Poddar: A Cardiac Cold Myth

One guide once told a tourist
that this heart-attack water
would cure all the diseases,
and the old voyager believed.
He froze his flesh and emerged fresh,
reborn.

It was a joke. It is a miracle.
People come to this town
for an ice water night-time bath,
and the guide is God, and this
is good for economy.

On the moonlit nights, one sees
the commandments written in
footprints. Snow's writing is
as legible as a clear mind.
